Senior Software Engineer - Devops

Overview

Senior SRE/Platform Engineer (Infrastructure) for Roku’s Ads Business Automation team, focused on end-to-end ownership of critical platform capabilities embedded within a product team.

What you'll do

• Write clean, maintainable Python for services, automation, and infrastructure tooling.
• Design, migrate, and operate Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Lead cluster upgrades, workload migrations, autoscaling, and capacity planning.
• Implement safe deployment strategies (rolling, canary, blue/green).
• Manage infrastructure as code (Terraform or equivalent) in version control.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for large monorepos.
• Set up observability (metrics, logs, traces) and incident response using paging/alerts.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, or Backend Engineering.
• Strong Python proficiency for services, pipelines, and automation.
• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience working with AWS or GCP.
• Linux systems and networking knowledge (DNS, VPCs, routing).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monorepos, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience building or operating observability and alerting systems.

• Location: Bengaluru, India.
• Hybrid work: generally in office Monday through Thursday; Fridays are generally flexible for remote work with role-based exceptions.
