Software Engineer-Red Hat/Linux Administrator

Overview

Maintain and improve Red Hat/Linux environments, container platforms, and automation for the Core Platform team. Provide technical leadership across platform operations, incident response, and project delivery.

What you'll do

• Administer Linux systems for stability, performance, and security.
• Plan, execute, and troubleshoot OS patching, upgrades, and rollbacks.
• Create, deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot Docker images and containers.
• Configure Docker networks for containerized applications.
• Develop shell scripts and Ansible automation.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and complex project delivery.
• Mentor team members and drive scalable architecture improvements.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of overall experience.
• 3–4 years of Linux administration experience.
• 3–4 years of Docker or other container technology experience.
• 3–4 years of shell scripting and Ansible experience.
• B.Tech in Computer Science or a related field with Computer Science as a core subject.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Python scripting experience.
• RHCSA or RHCE certification.
• Experience with GitOps, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies.
