Senior Software Engineer II

Overview

Senior Software Engineer II will design, build, secure, and operate AWS-first cloud infrastructure and shared platform capabilities, with additional support for GCP. The role focuses on reliability, security, governance, and enablement through architecture, guardrails, and infrastructure-as-code.

What you'll do

• Contribute to cloud infrastructure primarily in AWS and support GCP capabilities.
• Implement cloud guardrails and policies including org policies and SCPs and provisioning standards.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code platform features using standardized Terraform modules with testing and validation.
• Design and implement secure cloud solutions spanning multiple systems and managed service dependencies.
• Participate in design reviews and high-risk change reviews aligned to approved patterns.
• Triage cloud incidents and implement durable fixes for repeat failures.
• Support SOC 2 and PCI audit readiness by gathering evidence and maintaining control inventory.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, and/or software engineering roles.
• Deep experience designing and operating AWS cloud foundations, plus working knowledge of GCP.
• Advanced Terraform expertise, including reusable modules and enforcing standards with automated checks.
• Deep experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure delivery with safe change controls.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or similar tools.
• Direct SOC 2 or PCI audit experience and experience operating in regulated environments.
