Overview
Lead the design, delivery, and operations of scalable data platform and infrastructure capabilities, ensuring reliable analytics platforms and strong execution under pressure.
What you'll do
- Design, re-architect, and evolve infrastructure platforms for high availability, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Own end-to-end delivery of platform initiatives, ensuring timelines, quality, and operational excellence.
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies and drive timely mitigation.
- Design, implement, and optimize BigQuery datasets, tables, and queries for large-scale analytics workloads.
- Build and scale data ingestion pipelines using Dataflow, Kafka, or Pub/Sub.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code practices with Terraform/Terragrunt and add observability across platforms.
What you'll need
- 8+ years building and leading large-scale distributed systems in highly available production environments.
- 5+ years building and operating cloud-based infrastructure platforms and CI/CD pipelines (GCP preferred).
- Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to platform teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence team performance.
- Hands-on expertise with GCP services, especially BigQuery.
- Experience with data pipeline technologies such as Dataflow, Kafka, or Pub/Sub, and Kubernetes ecosystems.
Nice to have
- Experience with AlloyDB and Cloud Spanner.
- GCP certification.
