Senior Software Engineer - Java & AI

Overview

Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices. The role includes technical leadership, project guidance, and mentoring less experienced developers.

What you'll do

• Design, code, test, debug, and document technology projects.
• Develop scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Build responsive front-end interfaces with Angular or React.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate backend services.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools.
• Review technical challenges and resolve moderately complex issues.
• Lead projects, provide guidance, and mentor junior developers.

What you'll need

• At least 4 years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience with microservices and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Angular or React.
• Knowledge of JEE technologies for enterprise components and integrations.
• Experience with application security, performance tuning, or optimization.
• Ability to participate in code reviews and enforce best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT/Copilot Prompting.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, or Kubernetes.
