Senior Software Engineer - Java, AVP

Overview

Lead software engineering for complex enterprise investment-management platforms, focusing on architecture, development, testing, troubleshooting, and technical delivery.

What you'll do

• Design and deliver enterprise application architectures and platform-based solutions.
• Analyse, develop, test, debug, and implement complex software enhancements.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers on sustainable solutions.
• Provide technical direction on product architecture and advanced software issues.
• Develop automated tests and conduct manual testing.
• Review code and contribute to design, API, and customer documentation.
• Coordinate cross-team activities within the Agile development process.

What you'll need

• At least 13 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience.
• A B.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another technical field.
• Experience with Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, or related software engineering languages.
• Experience with Spring Boot microservices and cloud service deployment.
• Experience with cloud-native services, microservice architectures, Kubernetes, Kafka, and message-based systems.
• At least 3 years of experience with Agile development methodology.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaborative team skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• At least 8 years of financial-services software development experience.
• Azure, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL experience.
