Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer (Java), you will build and maintain distributed, high-performance platforms supporting authentication, tokenization, finance infrastructure and core financial data processes. You will take end-to-end ownership of mission-critical architecture and functionality serving businesses and shoppers globally.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the distributed high-performance platform.
• Bring code live within your first few weeks that impacts many businesses and shoppers.
• Take full responsibility from initial design through bringing new functionality live.
• Identify and improve parts of the platform to make it more robust and scalable.
• Collaborate across teams and time zones to make things happen.
• Review code and be open to feedback.
• Help with core financial data processes and work on finance infrastructure to keep it scalable, reliable and secure.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience working with object-oriented programming languages, including Java.
• Flexibility, a team-player approach and an eye for detail.
• Ability to take ownership, lead a project and enjoy writing testable code.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts.
• Proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Any other language is a plus.
