Senior Software Engineer (NetSuite Developer)

Overview

Okta is seeking a skilled NetSuite Developer to optimize, customize, and maintain its NetSuite ERP system within the Business Technology team. The role reports to the Manager in Bangalore, India.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain NetSuite customizations, including SuiteScripts (1.0/2.0), workflows, and saved searches.
• Leverage NetSuite's native AI capabilities and APIs, such as the SuiteScript Generative AI API, NetSuite Prompt Studio, and the AI Connector Service (MCP), to create custom AI-enhanced features.
• Work closely with the BT team to design, develop, test, implement and support system solutions primarily in NetSuite ERP.
• Support and resolve production issues.
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party applications via REST/SOAP APIs.
• Learn and experiment with external AI frameworks such as AWS Bedrock and RAG to identify opportunities for future NetSuite enhancements.

What you'll need

• 5 to 8 years of NetSuite development experience (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk).
• Experience with SuiteCloud tools, REST/SOAP APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with the SuiteScript Generative AI APIs to integrate LLM capabilities for advanced scripting solutions.
• Good understanding of NetSuite ERP modules (Order Management, Billing, Vendor bill, etc.).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, and related web technologies.
• Configure NetSuite modules to align with business needs, including leveraging Prompt Studio to customize and manage NetSuite AI functions such as Text Enhance.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent years of industry experience.

Nice to have

• Some experience with foundational AI services, including the desire to utilize a unified platform like AWS Bedrock for Generative AI development and deployment.
• Some core Amazon Machine Learning (ML) services, specifically AWS SageMaker (for building, training, and deploying custom ML models) and AWS Comprehend (for natural language processing and text analytics), and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
• NetSuite Administration or ERP consultant certification.
