Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer I, you will tackle complex software tasks, design application architecture, manage existing systems for functionality and performance, and contribute to software releases, production support, mentorship, and cross-functional project delivery.
What you'll do
- Develop software applications to tackle the most complex and critical tasks.
- Play a key role in designing and refining application architecture.
- Manage and maintain existing systems and applications, ensuring their ongoing functionality, performance, and deployment.
- Maintain high test coverage across unit, functional, and integration test suites.
- Manage the timeline and status of the software release process.
- Work closely with developers to learn implementation details about product features and perform releases.
- Provide production support by investigating and recreating reported defects.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to other team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deliverables.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt application best practices to improve security and performance.
- Conduct interviews and participate in various organizational initiatives.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in a relevant field, including Computer Science or Engineering.
- 6+ years of experience.
- Subject matter expertise in front-end and/or back-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, Angular, .Net, .Net Core, MVC framework, Web Services, RESTful Services, and JavaScript.
- Experience with AWS DevOps.
- Ability to define technical solutions that meet business requirements.
- Stronger fundamentals in software development, including modularization and object-oriented design.
- Understanding of the broad architecture of the entire system and other code bases.
- Understanding of the full architecture of the team’s application in all environments.
- Ability to write production-quality code in one major programming language/framework.
- Ability to make decisions on technical tradeoffs from tactical and strategic perspectives.
- Ability to define architecture for a new feature.
- Ability to follow coding standards and best practices.
- Well versed in design patterns.
- Ability to diagnose problems in unfamiliar code bases.
- Ability to identify and lead discussions on the benefits and risks of different approaches.
- Ability to work actively across the team to apply Atom architecture principles related to scalability, flexibility, stability, and simplicity.
Nice to have
- Good understanding of GitHub Copilot.
Details
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days remote and 2 days in office.
- Location: Bangalore, KA, India.
