Senior Software Engineer, Regulatory Licensing (NEA)

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Regulatory Licensing, NEA) works as a forward-deployed engineer to partner with agencies and help evolve core engineering products for regulatory licensing systems.

What you'll do

• Partner with engineers and other functions to align on development objectives for delivery efficiency and system resiliency.
• Assess existing technical landscapes, workflows, and processes to find inefficiencies, pain points, and gaps.
• Identify relevant practices (e.g., CI/CD, SRE) for adopting core engineering products to meet goals.
• Create transition roadmaps from current to desired future state, including recommended tools and processes.
• Explain complex concepts to NEA stakeholders and provide actionable workflow improvement recommendations.
• Support POC initiatives by validating solutions and assisting during early implementation and rollout.
• Exchange insights and share tools and scripts with other software engineers to drive continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• 8+ years in an individual contributor software engineering role.
• Experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex.
• Experience with front-end libraries/frameworks such as React, Kotlin, Swift, or React Native.
• Experience with back-end languages/libraries/frameworks such as Golang or NodeJS.
• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exceptional communication skills to bridge technical discussions between internal teams and external partners.
