Senior Software Engineer (Senior Manager) - Parametric

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Senior Manager) responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and supporting client-facing systems of engagement for Parametric's Digital Platform. The role contributes to web portals, APIs, investment tools, client servicing, and portfolio/account-level reporting through an online experience.

What you'll do

• Own one or more major subsystems in the Digital Platform.
• Collaborate with business partners to understand strategic objectives and acceptance criteria.
• Design and develop custom product features on the Digital roadmap.
• Enhance the client experience through engaging, performant, and resilient applications and APIs.
• Design and/or redesign solution architecture to meet and/or improve system performance and resiliency.
• Contribute to automated testing via unit, integration, and functional test suites.
• Conduct code reviews of other developers.
• Contribute to the evolution of the architecture to make it more flexible, testable, and easy to use.
• Keep learning and innovating while meeting product delivery targets.
• Collaborate with global development teams and contribute to the design, development, delivery, and support of new and existing technology solutions.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related area of study.
• 7+ years of full-stack web application development experience managing all aspects of technical projects, with a proven track record of delivering well-architected and well-written software solutions.
• 3+ years of web and REST API development experience using ASP.NET Core.
• 3+ years of experience creating modern web frameworks using Angular.
• 2+ years of Azure cloud-native development experience using PaaS.
• Web development experience.
• REST API experience.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database platforms.
• Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building event-based and microservice-style architecture.
• Experience with Git source control and Gitflow fundamentals.
• Experience contributing to automated test suites with unit and integration tests.
• Highly skilled in leading teams using Agile development processes such as Kanban or Scrum.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to demonstrate understanding of business goals.
• Proven experience leading the design and delivery of product features on a public web application.
• Proven track record of becoming a subject matter expert in areas related to current assignments.
• Strong technical leadership skills, including solution architecture using cloud-native services, consensus building and mentorship, communication, total quality commitment, and ownership and accountability.
• Successful track record of developing, implementing, and delivering applications and services to meet business goals and technology objectives, with the ability to transform strategy into tactical plans and delivery.
• A creative, self-confident self-motivator with a can-do orientation and the ability to function both independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Passionate, forward-thinking, and creative approach with high ethical standards and integrity.

Nice to have

• OIDC and OAuth2 experience for implementing web authentication and authorization.
• MongoDB experience is preferred.
• Azure DevOps experience is preferred.
• Financial services and technology (FinTech) experience is a plus.

• Location: Mumbai, India.
• Hybrid working model: work in the office 3 days a week and choose to work remotely or in the office on the remaining days of the week.
