Senior Software Engineer -ServiceNow Development

Overview

Senior Software Engineer for ServiceNow development. Lead and deliver moderately complex technical initiatives, including ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB engineering work.

What you'll do

• Lead moderately complex initiatives, deliverables, and technical challenges within a domain.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document projects including upgrades and deployments.
• Review technical problems and provide escalation guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
• Diagnose discovery and CMDB issues related to credentials, permissions, or discovery log errors.
• Drive CMDB health improvements for completeness, correctness, compliance, and relationship accuracy.
• Design scalable automation for CMDB governance and configuration management processes.
• Collaborate with teams (Asset Management, Infrastructure, Cloud, Security) to improve configuration data quality.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent via experience, training, military experience, or education).
• 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• ServiceNow Discovery & CMDB engineering experience across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience building third-party integrations using Integration Hub, REST/SOAP APIs, and web services.
• Ability to create and manage discovery schedules, including horizontal, cloud, and serverless schedules.
• ServiceNow troubleshooting skills for CMDB data quality issues like stale CIs, duplicates, and orphaned relationships.
