Overview
Senior Software Engineer (Unity) for the WWE Champions team in Bangalore, building and maintaining the game’s Unity client for a live-service mobile codebase.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain major Unity client systems across gameplay, UI, live events, progression, offers, social features, and platform services.
- Contribute to the architecture of a large Unity/C# codebase with focus on modularity, testability, performance, and maintainability.
- Implement and support data-driven live-ops systems (event configuration, feature flags, localization, and structured data pipelines such as FlatBuffers).
- Partner with design, product, QA, analytics, economy, backend, and live-ops stakeholders to deliver scalable client solutions.
- Improve engineering effectiveness via coding practices, tooling, CI/build processes, code reviews, debugging workflows, and technical documentation.
- Investigate and resolve production issues across client systems, platform integrations, monetization flows, and live event features.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to team technical decisions.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including production game clients or similarly complex interactive applications.
- Strong expertise in C# and object-oriented software design.
- Solid Unity production experience, ideally on mobile live-service titles.
- Experience building and maintaining client systems for gameplay, UI, event systems, or data-driven feature development.
- Mobile platform experience for iOS and Android, including integrations, performance tuning, memory management, and release readiness.
- Experience with client-side data pipelines, remote content/configuration, and serialization/schema-driven systems.
- Experience with build automation, CI/CD workflows, and release pipelines for mobile games.
