Senior Software Engineer, Windows/Desktop Applications - Kochi, India

Overview

Senior Software Engineer to design, architect, and build native Windows desktop applications, with a focus on performance, reliability, and accessibility.

What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of native Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK and WinUI.
• Define and enforce Windows desktop development best practices across architecture, performance, memory, and UI responsiveness.
• Drive accessibility by integrating and validating Windows accessibility APIs and improving keyboard/focus/screen-reader support.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, and QA on feature planning and UI/UX architecture for the Windows platform.
• Own feature lifecycle from conception through release and maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, and compatibility problems.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK/WinUI and C# with XAML.
• Experience with Windows application architecture, including interop between .NET managed code and native code.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility APIs on Windows (e.g., Microsoft UI Automation or similar).
• Solid software engineering fundamentals including OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and memory management.
• Experience with multi-threading or asynchronous programming (where relevant).
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring, code reviews, and architecture-level decisions.
• Strong communication skills to articulate tradeoffs and collaborate cross-functionally.
