Senior Software Engineering & Development Manager, Vice President II

Overview

Drive technology programs involving cross-organizational and strategic initiatives across Infrastructure & Cloud, AI, Security and Regulatory, and application initiatives supporting the Investment Management process, working closely with US-based platform architecture teams.

What you'll do

• Work closely with US-based Platform Architecture partners, cross-organization architects and business-aligned application team engineering.
• Help manage Application Modernization migration and strategies.
• Lead programs spanning global development locations, understand current-state challenges, course correct and drive to completion.
• Work with technical SMEs to identify creative solutions for technical challenges leveraging a deep technical background.
• Manage conflicts with multiple stakeholders while keeping project goals in focus.
• Drive cloud solution programs for application teams on their modernization and migration.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required.
• 14+ years of IT program and project management.
• 3+ years of cloud program experience.
• 7+ years of managing global teams.
• 5+ years of experience in data projects including relational databases or OLAP.
• Extensive experience driving to completion investment management technology implementations across IT architecture and development lifecycle in Front and Middle Office.
• Understanding of the investment domain, including trade lifecycle through front and middle office, compliance and risk management.
• Understanding of budget processes, ROI and business case construction.
• Clear competency in core technology platforms including API Gateways, Microservices, AI Integration, Data & Analytic OLAP Platforms, transactional databases including Oracle, AWS architecture, networking, security and Linux-based operating systems.
• Excellent knowledge of the Public Cloud tech stack.
• Extensive experience driving global teams.
• Extensive presentation experience in large forums.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to diplomatically and effectively manage issues across functional teams.

Nice to have

• Prior experience driving programs migrating application workloads on a cloud provider (AWS, Azure) in financial services.
• Extensive experience in how data moves and is shared within an organization supporting business operations.
• Strong knowledge of planning tools and forecasting.
• Associate-level certifications (AWS Architect or Developer).
• 3–8 years in Python or Java development experience.
• Prior working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) or Waterfall.
