Senior Software Specialist

Overview

Senior Software Specialist to lead the design and development of critical, high-quality features for PTC’s Windchill PLM product, focusing on Windchill Code and Configuration Extension modules.

What you'll do

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of Windchill Extension features.
• Define and own technical designs and architecture for assigned modules.
• Develop, modify, and maintain high-quality, well-documented Java code with test automation.
• Leverage Copilot and other AI-based development tools for code generation/refactoring and unit test creation.
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Collaborate with product management and QA in an agile development environment.

What you'll need

• 4–7 years of experience in software development with Java/J2EE.
• Module design, performance tuning, and scalability experience.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineers.
• Very good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working on large-scale PLM implementations.
• Hands-on experience with PTC Windchill.
• Experience using Copilot and AI agents.
