Senior Specialist - Research

Overview

Support the Research team within Marsh's risk, reinsurance and capital business by assisting senior leadership and project teams with research, data analysis, and client-ready materials for specialty insurance areas.

What you'll do

• Assist senior leadership and project teams with day-to-day tasks to help set and deliver team priorities and initiatives under close guidance.
• Support advisory engagements by preparing background research, data collection, and draft analyses for specialty insurance areas.
• Produce clear data summaries, slide material, and basic quantitative inputs (spreadsheets, simple models, charts), and help quality-check outputs.
• Gather datasets, run preliminary analyses, maintain benchmarking spreadsheets, and contribute ideas for innovation and new capability.
• Support project management tasks such as tracking timelines, preparing progress updates, coordinating meeting notes and follow-ups.
• Prepare client-ready materials, draft emails, and respond to routine client queries under supervision.

What you'll need

• Masters / Bachelors in Economics or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) / sustainability, corporate responsibility, or finance, environmental science, business administration, sustainability, economics, or related field.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in strategy advisory, research (quantitative and qualitative | secondary) experience, at a leading professional services / consulting firm / market intelligence / research firm.
• Experience in consulting projects and conducting independent secondary research.
• Strong hands-on experience in using Generative AI as part of day to day tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, confident with Excel.

Nice to have

• Basic exposure to modelling or analytics tools.

Details

• Location: Pune (the ad states this role will be based in Pune).
• Hybrid role: at least three days a week in the office.
• Colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week; office-based teams identify at least one anchor day per week.
