Senior/Staff AI Engineer, SMAI

Overview

Senior/Staff AI Engineer (SMAI) to design, develop, deploy, and support AI-powered applications that improve manufacturing operations.

What you'll do

• Design and build end-to-end AI solutions including data ingestion, feature engineering, training, inference, APIs, web apps, and observability.
• Develop responsive front-end applications using React, Angular, or Streamlit with Python/FastAPI services.
• Support ML/AI models for structured and unstructured data and build analytics to improve manufacturing decision-making.
• Integrate LLMs and agentic AI into manufacturing and engineering workflows.
• Integrate robotics platforms, AMRs, tool automation, control systems, and the Micron MES ecosystem.
• Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.

What you'll need

• 5+ years building and shipping production web or AI applications end to end.
• Experience developing and deploying web applications, APIs, or data-driven solutions.
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong programming skills in Python and modern Angular/TypeScript.
• Strong SQL skills and data architecture knowledge (structures and schemas).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and CI/CD development practices.
• Working knowledge of GenAI concepts including prompt engineering, RAG, LLM integration, agentic AI, and Responsible AI practices.

• Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
• Works with data platforms and modeling environments for scalable AI application development.
• Contributes to CI/CD pipelines and production AI monitoring/drift detection/model evaluation.
• Applies Responsible AI practices such as input validation, prompt-injection prevention, PII/IP protection, governance, and audit logging.
