Senior/ Staff Design Automation Engineer, Scribe Layout Design Non-Array

Overview

Design and automate CMOS electrical test structures for device development, modeling, reliability, and fab process monitoring. Work with global engineering teams on physical layout, floor planning, and verification across technology types.

What you'll do

• Identify problem areas and develop automation improvements.
• Evaluate and implement tools to improve automation flows.
• Develop programmatically defined P-cell devices for CMOS modules.
• Apply SKILL/SKILL++ methodologies for scalable layout automation.
• Generate DUTs using P-cells and defined requirements.
• Complete floorplanning, device placement, and DUT-to-pad wiring.
• Guide and mentor junior team members.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a listed engineering or computer science field.
• Advanced understanding of EDA tools and CAD flows.
• Proficiency in Generative AI, AI Agents, MCP, and LLM-based automation.
• Deep Python knowledge and programming fundamentals.
• Experience with SKILL/SKILL++, Perl, Python, and Tcl.
• Working knowledge of Linux and CMOS layout design rules.
