Senior Staff Engineer

Overview

Senior Staff Engineer for complex product development, leading research, design, prototyping, testing, and technical leadership within cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

• Lead research, design, development, modification, and evaluation of engineering modules, assemblies, or subsystems.
• Independently translate user needs into design inputs/specifications and produce system-level designs.
• Lead correction of complex product design issues and conduct technology exploration to influence business application.
• Develop invention disclosures, patents, or trade secrets and contribute market strategy using knowledge of market and customers.
• Apply knowledge of clinical procedures to enhance product development and execute customer-facing activities like voice of customer.
• Mentor others on industry standards, design requirements, and test strategies per applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management to ensure project success.

What you'll need

• BS in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or BioMedical.
• 10-13 years of experience.
• Experience developing and optimizing complex designs for mechanical/electro-mechanical assemblies using DFM principles.
• Experience creating engineering drawings and models using GD&T and CAE tools to optimize design.
• In-depth knowledge of materials and manufacturing/processing methods and technologies for complex product development.
• Ability to communicate complex plans and technical information to team members.
