Senior System Software Engineer - Halos Core and Robotics Platform

Overview

Senior System Software Engineer developing NVIDIA Halos platform software for embedded, safety-critical, and edge AI systems across real-time operating systems, Linux, hypervisors, and accelerators.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and debug system software across QNX, Linux, and hypervisor environments.
• Develop BSP, boot, driver, device-management, diagnostics, and platform software.
• Develop I/O virtualization solutions for mixed-criticality systems.
• Build software compliant with ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 standards.
• Bring up and optimize NVIDIA platforms with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Develop formal-methods-based high-integrity software and debugging solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of system software architecture and development experience for real-time embedded systems.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture and operating system fundamentals.
• Strong C and/or Ada/SPARK programming and debugging skills.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience with debugging, performance analysis, and system analyzer tools.
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded systems and QNX or RT Linux.
• Knowledge of ARM architecture and ARMv8-based SoCs.
• Ada/SPARK formal verification or TLA+ modeling experience.
• Safety analysis, security analysis, or ISO 26262 compliance experience.
