Senior Systems/Software Engineer - Platforms Developer (SONiC Development)

Overview

Senior Systems/Software Engineer focused on platforms development for the SONiC network operating system.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain new features and enhancements for the SONiC network operating system platform.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues within Platform System software and related areas.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, QA/test teams, and cross-functional partners for end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and lead documentation initiatives.
• Engage in initiatives that add value to product development for the business unit and organization.

What you'll need

• Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electronics, telecommunication engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Have experience in networking and system software development.
• Be proficient in C and C++ coding.
• Have Linux (or similar OS) systems knowledge and debugging skills for hard system-level issues.
• Have proficiency with Linux device drivers, system bring-up, and the Linux kernel.
• Have strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills for resilient, performance-enhancing software development.

Details

• Work mode is Hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week from an HPE office.
• Location: Bengaluru, Karnātaka, India.
