Senior Test Engineer

Overview

Senior Test Engineer role in Virtual Recall for Zoetis's Global ERP organization, focused on ensuring software quality and reliability through rigorous testing and validation.

What you'll do

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications (30% of time).
• Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure the software meets the highest quality standards (20%).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, support engineers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and identify testable scenarios (5%).
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies in a clear and concise manner (5%).
• Perform regression testing to ensure resolved issues do not affect existing functionalities (15%).
• Continuously improve test processes and contribute to the enhancement of QA methodologies and tools (10%).
• Mentor and train junior colleagues (15%).

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Azure Devops, Jira, GitHub Pull Requests).
• Experience with automated testing tools, in particular, Playwright.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases and test scripts.
• Experience with performance and security testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) standards and practices, and the ability to identify common security vulnerabilities in software applications.
• Knowledge of programming languages, in particular C#.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Teamcity, Devops Pipelines).

Details

• Location: Zoetis India Capability Center (ZICC), Hyderabad.
• Regular working hours are 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST (ICC Second Shift).
• Minimum of 5 hours overlap with UK working hours.
• Full time.
