Site Reliability Engineer

Overview

Site Reliability Engineer role focused on developing and maintaining complex distributed, real-time systems for Point72’s Global Macro business.

What you'll do

• Build foundational technical components of an extensive SRE program across multiple complex systems.
• Collaborate with development and quant teams to align changes with measurable SLOs.
• Monitor system capacity and performance to identify and address potential bottlenecks.
• Review and provide feedback on peers’ automation code for code quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues by analyzing impact on infrastructure and services.
• Participate in or lead design reviews to evaluate and select technologies and automation strategies.

What you'll need

• Demonstrated work experience as a site reliability engineer or similar role.
• Strong coding skills: Python and PowerShell are required.
• Ability to comprehend C# and write basic applications in C#.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, AWS cloud services, and infrastructure tooling.
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
• Container technology experience: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and ECS.
• Self-motivated with strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ownership.
