Staff Site Reliability Engineer (Linux/Network troubleshooting/Scripting)

Overview

Staff Site Reliability Engineer for Zscaler’s SRE Cloud Infrastructure & Operations team, focused on architecting, scaling, and maintaining next-generation cloud infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and manage cloud management automations to reduce toil.
• Oversee and optimize containerized architectures using EKS and GKE.
• Lead creation, deployment, and optimization of scalable monitoring and alerting.
• Own cloud operations, deployments, on-call support, and incident management.
• Continuously design and tune Linux and BSD-based systems.
• Collaborate across teams and advise on feasibility for new initiatives.

What you'll need

• Minimum 4+ years of experience troubleshooting and designing large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on SRE best practices experience.
• Experience with Python, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Networking and Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with observability, including Grafana and SLIs/SLOs/error budgets.
• Strong DevOps skills across CI/CD, SCM, and builds/releases.
• Understanding of web security and protocols including HTTP, SSL/TLS, DNS, SQL.
