Software Dev Engineer – Generative AI & Agentic Applications

Overview

Software Dev Engineer to design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered applications using LLMs and agentic tooling inside SonicWall internal systems.

What you'll do

• Design and build AI features and services using prompting, tool/function calling, RAG, and orchestration.
• Write production-quality backend and integration code in C# and .NET.
• Create and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automated test suites for AI-driven features.
• Package, deploy, and support applications via CI/CD, and monitor performance, reliability, and cost in production.
• Integrate applications with internal and third-party systems using REST/JSON APIs, MCP servers, and iPaaS while respecting access controls and data-handling rules.
• Implement evaluation, guardrails, logging, and observability for predictable and safe AI behavior.

What you'll need

• 6–8 years of professional software development experience building and shipping production applications.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET and skills in REST/JSON API design.
• Hands-on LLM integration experience including prompting, function/tool calling, RAG, and orchestration frameworks such as MCP.
• Practical experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and disciplined QA.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and deploying via Docker and cloud environments.
• Working experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Solid experience with Microsoft Azure, Git, and observability/monitoring practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic tooling such as MCP, LangChain, or LangGraph.
• Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry.
• Practical experience with Anthropic Claude/related SDKs or equivalent LLM provider platforms.
• Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate) and retrieval pipeline design.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Service) or similar orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise applications (e.g., Salesforce, Snowflake, Oracle EBS).
