Software Developer, Network Software Associate (Winter 2027)

Overview

A 12-week salaried Associate Engineer role on the Software Developer team, building UI components and back-end workflows for satellite network management software.

What you'll do

• Design and implement UI components and back-end workflows of satellite network management software.
• Work closely with network operations teams to create software that helps build and manage satellite and ground networks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements, architecture, and design.

What you'll need

• Hold a B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
• Experience with Django or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with relational/SQL databases (e.g. Postgres).
• Comfortable rapidly prototyping and fully developing user interface concepts with focus on overall user experience.
• Demonstrated ability to personally design, write, and test software from scratch.

• Location: San Francisco.
• Employment type: 12-week Associate Engineer position, salaried, for students who have already received a bachelor's degree (or will do so before working at Astranis).
• Base salary: $1,925 per week.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required to comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
