Job description

Overview

Software Development Engineer role focused on ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and cloud data engineering.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
Build and optimize Snowflake data warehouse solutions for analytics and reporting.
Work with AWS services including AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS SNS, and AWS S3.
Develop event-driven and streaming workflows using Kafka.
Implement Snowflake features including RBAC and ABAC, Snowpipes, and Dynamic Tables.
Develop Python automation and orchestrate workflows using Airflow/Step Functions.

What you'll need

2–4 years of experience in software development, data engineering, or related roles.
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
Hands-on knowledge of AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS SNS, and AWS S3.
Working knowledge of Kafka (basic to medium level).
Proficiency in SQL and Python.
Experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration.
Fundamentals of Snowflake including RBAC, ABAC, Snowpipes, and Dynamic Tables.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Nice to have

Familiarity with Pentaho for ETL/data integration workflows.
Exposure to AWS EMR, Redshift, Athena, and additional services (e.g., IAM/CloudWatch/EventBridge).
Familiarity with distributed systems, data lakes, and streaming architectures.
Understanding of data governance, security, and access controls in cloud environments.
