Software Development Engineer II

Overview

Software Development Engineer II to design, develop, deploy, and maintain backend software features across the SDLC.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deliver backend features aligned to technical specifications and business requirements.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Write scalable, maintainable, reusable code using engineering best practices.
• Participate in technical discussions, contribute to design decisions, and drive RFC process when required.
• Serve as the initial on-call responder for managed applications to support reliability and availability.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.

What you'll need

• Backend development experience delivering moderate complexity features throughout the SDLC.
• Expertise in Java, including modern features and frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills for distributed architectures and object-oriented design.
• Knowledge of database concepts including SQL, indexing, and migrations.
• Experience with API integration plus automated monitoring/logging and version control.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and secure coding practices.
