Software Development Engineer in Test

Overview

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role focused on building and maintaining a test automation framework to increase confidence in deployments.

What you'll do

• Build, deploy, and maintain automated test infrastructure for the Archipelago application.
• Evaluate product functionality and create test strategies, automation frameworks, and automated test cases.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD to enable continuous build and test cycles.
• Diagnose issues, report defects, and propose regression tests for recurring bugs.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to define upcoming requirements and ensure testability.
• Participate in defect triage, release validation, and production-quality investigations.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on testing and automation.
• Deep familiarity with automation frameworks; Cypress is preferred as the primary framework.
• Strong experience working in GitHub.
• Strong programming experience in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Ability to work independently as part of a distributed team.
• Great communication and collaboration skills.
• Work approximately 4+ hours overlap with US time zones.

Nice to have

• React or similar frameworks.

• Required to schedule working hours to coincide with US-based team from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
