Automation Quality Engineer

Overview

Automation Quality Engineer to design and maintain automated test frameworks, execute comprehensive test strategies, and improve quality across the software development lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and tooling.
• Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and performance testing strategies.
• Partner with software engineers and product managers on acceptance criteria and testability.
• Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot complex defects with root cause analysis.
• Enhance testing processes, frameworks, and best practices to improve quality and team velocity.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate to triage and resolve defects.

What you'll need

• 5–7 years of experience in software quality engineering and/or software development in Agile (Scrum) environments.
• Experience writing clear, thorough, maintainable test cases and test documentation.
• Proven experience testing multi-tier web-based and/or mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience with API testing (e.g., Postman) and API automation.
• Proficiency building automated tests using Python or Java; experience with modern IDEs (PyCharm, IntelliJ).
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows (pull requests, branching strategies).
• Experience with test case management tools such as TestRail (or similar), and CI/CD tools like Jenkins/Bamboo.
