Software Development Engineering - Sr Professional II

Overview

VisionPLUS developer role supporting card processing and financial services delivery by enhancing and maintaining VisionPLUS applications in a mainframe environment.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, install, support, and maintain VisionPLUS functional solutions with emphasis on CMS and FAS modules.
• Translate functional requirements into technical designs, program specifications, and production-ready solutions.
• Partner with engineers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to implement architectural direction and system enhancements.
• Analyze batch flows and system processes to improve performance, reduce complexity, and eliminate redundancy.
• Build, configure, upgrade, and test system environments for test and production.
• Manage major incidents to improve service recovery times and reduce recurring production issues.
• Conduct testing, installation, and production implementation of application changes and provide technical documentation.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of experience in VisionPLUS functional and technical design, development, testing, and application support.
• 4+ years of experience in VisionPLUS modules, preferably CMS and FAS.
• 4+ years of experience in mainframe technologies including TSO, ISPF, COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
• 4+ years of experience with source control and reporting utilities such as Endevor and Easytrieve.
• 4+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, technical specifications, testing, deployment, and production support.
• 4+ years in batch job analysis, system performance tuning, and production incident support.
• 4+ years in test environment build, system configuration, installation, and upgrade activities.

Nice to have

• Experience with network technologies such as SNA, Frame Relay, and TCP/IP.
• Experience supporting card management or issuer processing platforms in a fintech or banking environment.
• Experience with storage and capacity planning for mainframe test and production environments.
• Experience collaborating with architects and infrastructure teams on modernization or system optimization initiatives.
• Experience communicating technical status, risks, and incident updates to business stakeholders.
