Software Development Lead

Overview

Lead a team of QA testers, owning quality strategy and execution for technology solutions, including web applications, and driving continuous improvement in software quality across the development lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Lead a team of testers and be responsible for the quality of their work.
• Create and execute functional test plans and test cases, both manual and automated, for web applications, and perform regression testing.
• Identify and document defects, and track defects during execution.
• Identify and test for functional edge cases outside the expected workflow.
• Track Quality Assurance metrics such as defect density and open defect count.
• Execute manual and automation test scripts.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure timely delivery of quality software products.

What you'll need

• Graduate with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in web-based applications and test automation such as Selenium and WebDriver.
• Prior EdTech experience is required.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong experience in writing test scenarios and test cases.
• Good knowledge of SQL queries and database testing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Must have skills: manual and automation testing; Selenium, TestNG or JUnit; API testing with Postman or REST Assured; defect tracking with JIRA or Bugzilla; SDLC and STLC knowledge; CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Git.
• Educational qualification: BTech or BE.

Nice to have

• Performance testing with JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Security testing.
• Database testing with SQL.
• Cloud testing on AWS or Azure.
• Scripting in Python or Java.
• Knowledge of AI/ML or automation framework design.
