Software Development Manager

Overview

Autodesk is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and grow a software engineering team within the Growth Experience Technology (GET) organization, supporting customer-facing digital experience and commerce platforms.

What you'll do

• Lead, mentor, hire, and develop a team of software engineers.
• Deliver engineering planning and execution across multi-quarter initiatives.
• Provide technical direction through architecture discussions, design/code reviews, and decision-making.
• Guide proof of concepts to validate new ideas, technologies, and architectures.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering practices and responsible adoption of coding assistants and LLM workflows.
• Remove technical and organizational blockers to enable predictable, high-quality delivery.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on development and production delivery.
• 2-4 years of engineering leadership or people management experience.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, nurturing, and developing engineering teams.
• Hands-on background in JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Express (or similar web development).
• Experience with databases and designing data-driven applications.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and exposure to serverless architectures.
• CI/CD experience with tools such as Jenkins.
