Overview
Staff Software Engineer I working across the product lifecycle, building and maintaining full-stack, microservices-based features and services.
What you'll do
- Develop new features and sustain existing capabilities.
- Handle engineering escalations and debugging.
- Implement, test, and support product releases, including early customer support.
- Collaborate with Android engineering to define API contracts and troubleshoot integrations.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering planning.
- Own solutions across lifecycle including monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
What you'll need
- 10-13 years of very strong development experience in Node.js.
- Microservices and cloud experience.
- Experience working with relational databases for SQL reporting and analytics.
- Experience building and maintaining APIs, services, and data-driven applications.
- Familiarity with continuous delivery and GitOps tooling.
- Practical experience deploying, configuring, and supporting containerized apps in Kubernetes.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working with product owners/stakeholders/users during discovery and ideation.
- A strong commitment to automated testing and reliable, maintainable software.
Nice to have
- Exposure to TypeScript/JavaScript development with interest in working across the stack.
