Overview
Software Engineer (Technology) for the Finance Technology team, delivering software enhancements and platform modernization across finance and investor processing workflows.
What you'll do
- Build software applications and deliver enhancements supporting finance and investor processing.
- Develop software solutions with business stakeholders using test-driven and agile methodologies.
- Own system upgrades and features for resiliency, capacity improvements, automation and controls, and vendor/service integrations.
- Contribute to core platform architecture and modernize using AI tools.
- Work with DevOps teams to manage and resolve operational issues and use CI/CD platforms.
- Participate in initiatives to transition applications to cloud platforms to improve stability, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with other technology teams on cross-departmental initiatives.
What you'll need
- 2–8 years of professional software development experience.
- Solid experience with Java and Java-based technologies.
- Knowledge of financial products and related processing systems (fixed income, credit, equities, derivatives; accounting, settlement, affirmation, prime broker reconciliation).
- Experience with SQL development and building large-scale data warehouses for high-volume processing and analytics.
- Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with Databricks for large-scale data processing, ETL pipelines, and analytics workflows.
- Experience with high volume messaging architectures, streaming platforms, and transaction processing systems.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful services and building microservices on Kubernetes-based platforms and AWS.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Redis and MongoDB and exposure to agentic AI frameworks.
- Experience designing and building interactive web interfaces using Angular and React.
