Software Engineer, Equities Middle Office Systems

Overview

Software Engineer for Equities Middle Office Systems, building and enhancing technology supporting fund accounting and trade processing.

What you'll do

• Build software applications and deliver enhancements and projects for fund accounting and trade processing technology.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop solutions using test-driven and agile development.
• Own system upgrades and features for resiliency, capacity improvements, automation and controls, and vendor/service integrations.
• Drive architecture of core platforms and accelerate modernization using AI tools.
• Work with DevOps teams to manage and resolve operational issues and use CI/CD while following DevOps practices.
• Improve platforms using latest technologies and development ideas; help transition select applications to cloud.

What you'll need

• 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience focused on Java-based technologies.
• Knowledge of financial products, including fixed income, credit, equities, and derivatives, and associated accounting and processing.
• Strong SQL development and experience developing large-scale data warehouses.
• Experience with messaging architectures, high-volume streaming, and/or transaction processing systems.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful services.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB) and agentic AI frameworks.
• Experience with microservices, Kubernetes-based platforms, and AWS; and strong Java experience.
• Ability to design and build interactive web interfaces using Angular/React.
• Experience working with industry-known prime broker reconciliation software.
