Software Engineer

Overview

Maersk is hiring a Software Engineer to build scalable, high-quality cloud-native applications in a fast-paced, agile environment.

What you'll do

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build responsive user interfaces using React JS or Angular with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Architect and implement microservices and RESTful APIs for cloud-native systems.
• Develop and test business features with end-to-end ownership.
• Write clean, maintainable, and secure Java code, using AI-assisted software development tools.
• Integrate AI capabilities into applications using APIs and SDKs.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software development experience focused on Java Spring Boot and React JS.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, and Terraform.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
• Secure coding practices, software design patterns, and best engineering practices.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
