Software Engineer

Overview

Software Engineer for U.S. Bancorp India supporting digital transformation technology initiatives. Owns the analysis, design, testing, development, and maintenance of software products and contributes to reliability and compliance-driven delivery.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software products.
• Deliver production-ready, testable code with full stack ownership.
• Create designs that follow architectural best practices with attention to scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Analyze failures, propose design changes, and drive operational improvements.
• Perform code reviews and apply feedback to meet engineering standards.
• Ensure product development follows compliance and security best practices.
• Prioritize and size tasks for incremental delivery and communicate blockers early.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of ten years of experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
• Technical expertise and leadership skills to resolve issues and mentor junior engineers.
• Thorough understanding of the team's domain and how it maps to objectives and deliverables.
