Software Engineer, Backend (4-8 Yrs)

Overview

Backend Engineer to design and deliver AI-driven backend features and integrations for Cisco Cloud Control.

What you'll do

• Design and deliver backend features (functional and non-functional).
• Mentor and guide junior developers with best practices.
• Drive product integrations and AI-native solutions across Cisco’s portfolio.
• Collaborate with frontend and infrastructure teams for end-to-end delivery.
• Build and maintain scalable, reliable, high-performance backend services for enterprise users.

What you'll need

• 3-6 years of hands-on backend development experience.
• Strong AWS experience.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (ELK, Splunk, Datadog).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset for a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with frontend technologies.
• Experience with Go, Java, Node.js, or Rust.
• Knowledge of AI tools, frameworks, or methodologies.
• Experience mentoring or coaching other developers.
