Software Engineer, CDP - Stablecoin

Overview

Software Engineer for Coinbase’s Stablecoin (CCS) platform, building backend services and on-chain smart contracts for custom stablecoins.

What you'll do

• Build and extend smart contract functionality for minting, burning, and safeguarding stablecoin supply.
• Implement backend services for onboarding, issuance, reserve accounting, and rewards distribution.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to ship quarterly stablecoin roadmap features.
• Develop reporting, monitoring, and internal tooling to improve reliability and operations.
• Write well-tested code across backend and smart contract components.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of experience building and maintaining production backend services.
• Experience with smart contract writing/testing/deploying in Solidity (or similar EVM languages), or ability to ramp quickly with mentorship.
• Comfort working in a service-oriented architecture and contributing to systems at scale.
• Familiarity with Golang and blockchain fundamentals for Ethereum or similar EVM chains.
• Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight in daily workflows.
• Ability to use generative AI tools/copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) and apply human-in-the-loop practices.

• Location: Remote in Canada.
• Work sessions: Quarterly in-person “surges.”
