Sr Engineer - Price Publish (Price Decision Engine)

Overview

Senior Engineer (Price Publish / Price Decision Engine) responsible for building and modernizing systems that process and publish price changes for Target stores and Digital.

What you'll do

• Develop and gain insight into application architecture.
• Apply software engineering patterns to build robust, scalable systems.
• Lead design, testing, debugging, and code/design reviews at the application level.
• Support price-change processing via REST APIs and Kafka-based event processing.
• Conduct disaster recovery activities and contribute to recovery planning.
• Embed data quality protocols across data acquisition, processing, storage, and operational use.

What you'll need

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• Strong experience with Kotlin or ability to quickly become productive in Kotlin.
• Strong experience building distributed backend services using Apache Kafka (producer and consumer).
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting high-volume REST APIs.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
