Java Backend Developer, Assistant Vice President

Overview

Lead Software Engineer (Java Backend) for Citi’s Prime Sequel Platform, part of the Prime Finance P&L allocation engine.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable application systems for the Prime Sequel Platform.
• Conduct feasibility studies and analyze complex technical and business challenges.
• Monitor and guide the software development lifecycle from analysis/design through testing and implementation.
• Provide user and operational support on applications to business users.
• Recommend security measures and contribute to post-implementation analysis.
• Partner with project managers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Serve as a technical mentor and coach to junior team members.

What you'll need

• 4-6 years of progressive experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java application technologies.
• Deep experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience with Spring framework.
• Experience with Microservices architecture and SQL.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
• Working knowledge of project management methods with a focus on agile methodologies.
