Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Gurgaon, India

Overview

Software Engineer role on Speechify’s Data side of the AI team, responsible for data collection to support model training operations.

What you'll do

• Find new sources of audio data and bring them into the ingestion pipeline.
• Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline on GCP.
• Use Terraform to manage ingestion pipeline infrastructure.
• Collaborate with scientists to improve cost, throughput, and data quality.
• Help craft the AI team dataset roadmap for next-generation consumer and enterprise products.

What you'll need

• Have 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Have BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Be proficient with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments.
• Have proficiency with Docker.
• Have infrastructure-as-code experience with at least one major cloud provider (used: GCP).
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
