Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Hyderabad, India

Overview

Software Engineer for Speechify’s Data Infrastructure & Acquisition role within the AI team, focused on data collection for model training.

What you'll do

• Find new sources of audio data and bring them into the ingestion pipeline.
• Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline.
• Integrate infrastructure, engineering, and research to support dataset building at petabyte-scale.
• Collaborate with scientists to improve cost/throughput/quality for data.
• Help craft the AI team’s dataset roadmap for consumer and enterprise products.

What you'll need

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments.
• Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
• Professional experience with at least one major cloud provider (the posting states GCP).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows.
