Software Engineer - Data Scientist

Overview

Join the Data Science & AI team as a Junior Data Scientist, developing and deploying machine learning and AI solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on scalable models, data pipelines, MLOps, and actionable business insights.

What you'll do

• Design and evaluate models for classification, regression, forecasting, and NLP.
• Build Python and Azure-based data pipelines for ETL and feature engineering.
• Deploy models on Azure Machine Learning using endpoints, pipelines, and MLflow.
• Collaborate on data quality, availability, and governance across Azure data platforms.
• Apply Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services to intelligent applications and automation.
• Monitor production performance, detect drift, and implement retraining strategies.
• Translate business requirements into data science solutions and communicate findings.

What you'll need

• 4–7 years of professional or project-based data science or machine learning experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical or quantitative field.
• Strong Python skills with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and LightGBM.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure machine learning and data services.
• Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, evaluation, and tuning.
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch, SQL, and MLOps practices.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-900, AI-900, or DP-100.
• Experience with NLP libraries, LLM integrations, Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure Container Instances.
• Knowledge of Apache Spark, Generative AI, RAG, or prompt engineering.
• Git and Agile/Scrum experience.
