Software Engineer, Foundation AI

Overview

Software Engineer on the Agent Infra team, building the infrastructure that runs autonomous AI agents at Roblox for creators and engineers at scale.

What you'll do

• Build and shape the platform that runs Roblox's agents across internal and external products at massive scale.
• Work on agentic infrastructure, building optimal, secure and scalable systems while keeping pace with new advances in the industry.
• Continually learn and adjust your understanding of the systems being built and what is capable with AI agents.
• Experiment and share your agentic workflows, helping shape the future of work at Roblox.

What you'll need

• 1-3 years of professional experience or a recent grad.
• Strong CS fundamentals and an interest in learning infrastructure, distributed, and agentic systems.
• Projects, internships, or open-source work you would enjoy walking through.
• Experience building with AI agents, even something small, and being able to explain what broke.
• Comfortable writing real code in Go, Python, Rust, or similar, and quick to pick up new languages.
• A fast learner who asks good questions, digs into things you don't understand, and takes initiative.

Details

• Location: San Mateo, CA, United States (headquarters).
• Office schedule: onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.
• Annual base salary range: $153,120 to $196,750 USD, plus equity compensation and benefits for full-time employees.
• For US-based roles only, the Company may not be able to employ candidates who have US work authorization related to certain visa categories, or support future H-1B sponsorship at this time.
