Software Engineer – Full Stack, Ruby on Rails/Python/React.js | 4-8 Years | Bangalore

Overview

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, collaborate with firmware, backend, SRE, and dashboard engineers to architect, design, and build large-scale systems that connect network devices with Cisco Meraki products and support customer use through the Meraki Dashboard.

What you'll do

• Design and develop software systems and enhance backend features.
• Collaborate with backend, SRE, dashboard, and support engineers to ensure seamless integration, maintain system reliability, enhance user interfaces, and provide comprehensive support for end users.
• Identify and address performance issues.
• Follow established coding standards and contribute insights to improve team knowledge.
• Architect, design, and build large-scale systems.
• Enable connections between over a million network devices and Cisco Meraki products.
• Construct intuitive yet powerful systems with help from product managers and firmware engineers.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of experience writing production code and tests for medium to large-scale systems.
• 4+ years of experience in full-stack technologies, such as Ruby on Rails, Python, React.js, and JavaScript.
• Ability to design efficient databases and optimize query performance in a relational database like Postgres.
• Demonstrated ownership of tasks within the development process, from conception to implementation.
• A keen interest in understanding user needs and contributing to product development.
• Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and work effectively within a team.

Nice to have

• Experience building cloud-based infrastructure and services (e.g., web applications).
• Experience with container solutions (Kubernetes).
