Software Engineer II A - GBS IND

Overview

Hands-on Software Engineer II role in the Portfolio Management Technology organization of the Investment Solutions Group within Wealth Management, leading design and application development for trading and portfolio management platforms.

What you'll do

• Develop, enhance, debug, support and maintain applications used by Portfolio Managers or supporting functions.
• Be responsible for systems design, code development, CI/CD-DevOps, technical standards and delivery for the target state platform.
• Lead development of feature enhancements for critical trading platforms such as Optima and IM/DM Portal.
• Design, develop and deploy high-volume, multi-tiered, distributed transactional applications.
• Work with offshore and onshore leads to develop code as per project needs and timelines.
• Participate in development review of design documents and raise development queries to relevant stakeholders.
• Work with other teams for integration of code and fix integration defects.
• Create design specifications and unit tests.
• Maintain existing software systems as required.
• Break down complex problems and come up with creative solutions, leveraging the latest technologies where possible.

What you'll need

• Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/BSc/MSc/BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization).
• Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience as a developer in application programming/development design and development.
• Experience range: 10+ years.
• Deep knowledge of .NET Framework, WPF, WebApi, SQL Server 2019, design patterns, web and application servers.
• Good working knowledge of Kafka.
• Experience with RESTful service/WCF and UI technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience in agile processes and transformation.
• Strong communication skills with ability to work and collaborate across global teams.

Nice to have

• Good understanding of AI technologies in distributed development, with exposure to tools like CoPilot and CoPilot Studio.
• Strong DevOps background with tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, BitBucket, XLR, and zero click deployment strategies.
