Software Engineer II

Overview

Software Engineer II responsible for designing and coding application modules, ensuring reliability and security practices, and maintaining engineering artifacts across Jira and Confluence.

What you'll do

• Design and code application modules with minimal supervision.
• Write unit tests and support CI/CD requirements.
• Contribute to architecture and code review discussions.
• Review code to identify defects early and resolve them.
• Follow DevOps and Global Information Security guidelines when deploying to environments.
• Update Jira user story status and relevant Confluence documentation.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in Java software development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or engineering or related discipline.
• Excellent core Java programming experience.
• Basic knowledge of database SQL including database modeling and tuning.
• Knowledge of cloud experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience preferably in a financial industry.
• Messaging tools like Kafka and Unix.
• Front-end frameworks like React.
• Knowledgeable in SQL and database modeling.
